Queens' Ergs 2025
Emmanuel's novice crews made a strong impression at Queens' ergs, the first competitive rowing experience in the novice program involving a gruelling 8x500m relay on the ergs.
The Women's First Novice Boat delivered a committed performance, finishing 4th in their heat, and missing out on a ticket to the final only by a few seconds. The Men's First Novice Boat raced superbly to finish 2nd in their heat, earning a place in the final where they came 7th overall after a determined, cohesive effort.

Both squads displayed impressive strength, grit, and Emma spirit as they raced under pink and blue for the first time.
A huge thank you to the Lower Boat Captains Isabelle Cotton, Eve Hazard, Zunera Hussain, and Harry Smith, for the time they put in managing the novice program and perfecting relay technique; our coaches for training up the attitude needed to push through a gruelling erg sprint; and the EBCA who help make training possible. Thank you also to Queen's College Boat Club for hosting Queens' Ergs.
Next up for our Novices will be Emma Sprints 2025!
